Football Recap: Horseheads Comes Up Short

Horseheads entered their contest against Vestal on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Blue Raiders fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 14-12. The game marked the Blue Raiders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Cayden Kitchin was nothing short of spectacular for Vestal: he rushed for 108 yards and two scores. Those 108 rushing yards gave Kitchin a new career-high. Gavin Brady also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.

Horseheads' loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Vestal, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horseheads will host Binghamton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
