Softball Game Preview: Humble Wildcats vs. MacArthur Generals

The Humble Wildcats will face off against the MacArthur Generals at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. Humble is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Humble came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Huntsville by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since February 15, 2025.

Braelynn Haiola was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask MacArthur). Everything went their way against Nimitz on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Generals considering their one-run performance the game before.

The victory got MacArthur back to even at 7-7. As for Humble, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Humble came up short against MacArthur when the teams last played on Friday, falling 8-4. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
