Baseball Recap: San Juan Comes Up Short

San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Mesa Verde Mavericks, falling 17-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-3 last Tuesday.

San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Mesa Verde, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Juan will welcome Vacaville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Juan's pitchers better be ready for this one: Vacaville Christian has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Mesa Verde, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
