Baseball Game Preview: Randle Lions vs. Tomas Gators

The Randle Lions will face off against the Tomas Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Randle's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Tomas has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

It was a proper cat-fight when Randle faced off against Fort Bend Kempner on Friday. The Lions came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 5-2.

Austin Ortega and Chris Elizondo did most of the damage at the plate: Ortega went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Elizondo went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Elizondo has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ced McClintick, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Tomas scored first but ultimately less than Terry in their game on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rangers.

Urijah Cardoza was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Tomas' loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Randle, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Randle has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tomas struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
