Softball Recap: Brookeland Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hull-Daisetta

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brookeland). They were the clear victor by a 16-0 margin over the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats on Friday. The Wildcats not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 25, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Elisabeth Lundquist, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Paige Powell was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Brookeland back to even at 4-4-2. As for Hull-Daisetta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.

Looking ahead, Brookeland is taking a road trip to challenge Zavalla at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Zavalla is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season. As for Hull-Daisetta, they will welcome Spurger at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hull-Daisetta has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
