Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Has No Trouble Against Southeastern Local

West Jefferson hadn't done well against Southeastern Local recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Roughriders blew past the Trojans 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Roughriders.

West Jefferson was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-16, 25-16.

Mary Ava Wills was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had four digs and three aces. What's more, she racked up 21 assists, the most she's had since back in August. Rachel Pelphrey also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: West Jefferson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

West Jefferson's record is now 6-4. As for Southeastern Local, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.
