Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Pasadena

Pasadena waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Glendale Nitros. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since March 1st.

Reese Kim made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pasadena is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-12-1 otherwise. Kim was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Pasadena let Dylan Derosier and Kaleb Derosier run wild. Dylan went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Kaleb went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Dylan has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Fabio Castillo, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pasadena hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matches.

Pasadena's record is now 7-12-1. As for Glendale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Coming up, Pasadena will challenge Glenn at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Glendale will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' contest: after the Bulldogs face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Glendale again at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
