After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Baker, Rutherford was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-15 win over the Marianna Bulldogs. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rutherford's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Marianna, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Rutherford will welcome Port St. Joe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Tiger Sharks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Marianna, they will head out on the road to challenge North Bay Haven Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
