Baseball Recap: Mendon Unity Comes Up Short

Mendon Unity was the 7-2 winner over Camp Point Central when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4 on Friday.

Skylor Goudschaal was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Simon Rabe was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Mendon Unity's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Camp Point Central, they pushed their record up to 4-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Mendon Unity will venture away from home to face off against Palmyra at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Camp Point Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-2 defeat against Pittsfield on the 12th.
