Volleyball Recap: Jefferson West's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Jefferson West challenged Holton on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Jefferson West saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Macy Malone had nine digs and one assist. Kolbie Noel also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Jefferson West's loss ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8. As for Holton, their victory bumped their record up to 19-7.

Looking ahead, Jefferson West will be taking part in a tournament against Perry-Lecompton at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Holton has already played their next contest (against Hayden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
