Richard Carlson turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because South Beloit is 5-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

Even though Carlson couldn't lead South Beloit over Harvest Christian Academy, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Sobos haven't beaten the Lions recently, having gone 0-10 since April of 2018.
