Volleyball Recap: Mayer Comes Up Short

Mayer came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Salome Frogs. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Frogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-16.

Mayer's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Salome, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Coming up, Mayer will be playing at home against Grand Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salome will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' match: after the Wildcats face off against the Phantoms, they'll take on Salome again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
