Basketball Recap: Ross Comes Up Short

Ross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Bridgehampton Killer Bees and fell 69-36. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against Ross this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-43 back in January.

Bridgehampton found their leader in sophomore Xavier Johnson, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. Johnson is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Jordan Harding was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists.

Ross' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bridgehampton, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

Ross does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bridgehampton, they will face off against Greenport at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
