Softball Recap: Trinity Hall Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Trinity Hall proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Red Bank Regional Bucs 3-2. While Trinity Hall didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Emma Mullins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brooke Werdann was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Helen Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Trinity Hall's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Red Bank Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Trinity Hall will have a chance to go back-to-back against Red Bank Regional: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
