Basketball Recap: Jonesboro Takes a Loss

Jonesboro lost against Central back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jonesboro Hurricane were beaten by the Central Tigers 52-14. The contest marked the Hurricane's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jonesboro has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-5.

Jonesboro will host Cabot at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will head out to face off against North Little Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Little Rock is on a four-game streak of home wins, Central a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
