While Out-of-Door Academy's victory against Sarasota Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thunder had just enough and edged out the Blazers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Thunder have posted since August 23rd.

Alex Beasley paced Out-of-Door Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Beasley got some help from Emmy Coachys and her 15 assists. Scarlett Vella controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Out-of-Door Academy has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Sarasota Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Coincidentally, Out-of-Door Academy and Sarasota Christian will both be playing Manatee the next time they take the court. The Thunder will head out to face the Hurricanes at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Blazers will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
