Basketball Recap: Kadence Spino Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Maryvale

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mount Mercy Academy, Buffalo Seminary was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Maryvale Flyers by a score of 43-32. This was payback for the Red-Tailed Hawks, who suffered a 21-18 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Buffalo Seminary's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kadence Spino, who posted 19 points. Spino continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Reynolds, who put up 13 points.

The win got Buffalo Seminary back to even at 8-8. As for Maryvale, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo Seminary will head out to square off against Buffalo Academy of Science at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maryvale, they will venture away from home to face off against Depew at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
