Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian Academy lost against Horizon Science Academy back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles took a hard 64-47 fall against the Horizon Science Academy Hawks. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Horizon Science Academy to victory were Michael Shamie and Regan Shozi. Shamie went 8 for 19 on his way to 19 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds, while Shozi went 6 of 14 en route to 18 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Shozi a new career-high in points. Kenneth Boanu was another key player, putting up ten points and eight boards.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Horizon Science Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Liberty Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Delaware Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy is facing Delaware Christian at the right time seeing as Delaware Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Horizon Science Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-23 win against Columbus International on the 25th.
