Football Recap: Kelly Takes a Loss

Kelly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 24-14 to DuSable/Tilden/Air Force Academy. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as DuSable/Tilden/Air Force Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The critical scores for DuSable/Tilden/Air Force Academy came from Corvanta Matthews, Jessie Suggs, and John Holmes.

Kelly now has a losing record of 3-4. As for DuSable/Tilden/Air Force Academy, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kelly is set to take on their familiar foe Chicago Washington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, DuSable/Tilden/Air Force Academy will face off against rival Back of the Yards College Prep at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (DuSable/Tilden/Air Force Academy 13.3, Back of the Yards College Prep 14) so any points scored will be well earned.
