Soccer Game Preview: Murrieta Valley vs. Temecula Valley

The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks will venture away from home to challenge the Temecula Valley Golden Bears at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Murrieta Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past Chaparral 2-1.

Meanwhile, Temecula Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wolfpack. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Golden Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 407th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 66th).

Murrieta Valley's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for Temecula Valley, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
