Basketball Game Preview: Hoquiam Grizzlies vs. Tenino Beavers

The Hoquiam Grizzlies will take on the Tenino Beavers at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Hoquiam came up short against Montesano and fell 54-45.

Meanwhile, Tenino had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 56-49 win over Elma on Wednesday.

Tenino's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11. As for Hoquiam, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Hoquiam came up short against Tenino in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 60-54. Can Hoquiam avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
