Basketball Game Preview: Bastrop Rams vs. Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers

The Bastrop Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bastrop will be strutting in after a win while Jonesboro-Hodge will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Bastrop strolled past Richwood with points to spare, taking the game 52-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bastrop.

Bastrop's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayleah Wilson, who posted 19 points. Wilson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Delasia Toston, who earned 14 points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jonesboro-Hodge duked it out with Cedar Creek on Friday. Jonesboro-Hodge was dealt a 51-23 loss at the hands of Cedar Creek. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Bastrop's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, their loss dropped their record down to 12-20.
