Football Recap: Anderson Takes a Loss

Anderson extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. The matchup between the Indians and the Richmond Red Devils didn't end well, with the Indians falling 38-21. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 53-38 to the Red Devils when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Richmond, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Richmond got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jai Allen out in front who rushed for 99 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also threw for 28 yards and one touchdown. The Red Devils also got help from Ja'Riyah Delucio, who showed off his sure hands for 197 receiving yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Anderson will square off against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Giants' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Richmond, they will face off against Kokomo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
