Basketball Recap: Aidan Bowgren Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat South Central

Hebron won the last time they faced South Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Hebron Hawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the South Central Satellites 61-58.

Hebron's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aidan Bowgren, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 20 points. Those 20 points gave Bowgren a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peter Socci, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Hebron was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Central only racked up five assists.

South Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Clayten Strauch, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Strauch is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Huerta, who posted 16 points and five boards.

Hebron now has a winning record of 5-4. As for South Central, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Hebron will head out to square off against Westville at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for South Central, they will welcome Boone Grove at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. South Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.
