Volleyball Recap: Pope John Paul II Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Pope John Paul II had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pope John Paul II will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Beech at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they will challenge Battle Ground Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
