Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Comes Up Short

St. Joseph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Winchester Thurston, falling 18-8. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Peter Stickney was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Luca Schiano Di Cola, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Winchester Thurston, their record now sits at 3-1.

While St. Joseph had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
