Volleyball Recap: Peachtree Ridge Comes Up Short

Peachtree Ridge was the 2-0 winner over Dacula when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Peachtree Ridge might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Dacula: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 15-12.

Aida Edwards paced Peachtree Ridge's offense, picking up nine kills. Edwards got some help from Kya Morris and her 11 assists. Mojo Jowosimi and Jayda Jean-Louis kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Leading Dacula to victory were Adelyne Yang and Brianna Ortiz. Yang had six digs and three assists, while Ortiz had eight digs. That's the most assists Yang has posted since back in August of 2024.

Peachtree Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Dacula, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-15 record this season.

Peachtree Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Duluth on the 20th. As for Dacula, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Parkview on the 20th.
