Del Rio and Alexander are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Rio is looking for their season's first victory.

Del Rio is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Laredo LBJ on Thursday.

Del Rio's loss came about despite a quality game from Jayden Mendoza, who rushed for 21 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 109 yards and one TD on only ten passes.

Meanwhile, Alexander was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against United South by a score of 23-16.

The critical scores for Alexander came from Gael Rubio, Jayden Gonzalez, and Javi Trejo.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Alexander's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Juan Godoy was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 17 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Alexander now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Del Rio, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Del Rio was taken down by Alexander 48-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Rams, Jose Fernandez III (who rushed for 203 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.7 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
