Volleyball Game Preview: Philip Simmons Iron Horses vs. Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks

The Philip Simmons Iron Horses will challenge the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Philip Simmons came up short against Summerville and fell 2-0. The Iron Horses have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Summerville scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Oceanside Collegiate Academy came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with 13 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 3-1.

While Oceanside Collegiate Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hanahan scored at least 22 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 25-22, 25-22.

Philip Simmons' defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Philip Simmons couldn't quite get it done against Oceanside Collegiate Academy in their previous meeting back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Iron Horses avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
