Volleyball Recap: Prospect Panthers vs. Willow Glen Rams

Despite the loss, Prospect had strong showings from Risa Ono, who had 11 aces and two kills, and Sydney Slezak, who had ten kills and three blocks. With that strong performance, Slezak is now averaging an impressive 5.5 kills per game.
Even though they lost, Prospect was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive games.
Prospect's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Willow Glen, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prospect will head out to face off against Piedmont Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Piedmont Hills is coming into the contest with three straight wins at home, so Prospect will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Willow Glen, they are on the road again on Thursday to play San Jose at 7:00 p.m.
