After a string of four wins, North Central Texas Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 66-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aledo Bearcats. The Pioneers lost against the Bearcats in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-37 score last time.

North Central Texas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Aledo, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

North Central Texas Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-49 win against All S on the 14th. As for Aledo, they will be home for the holidays to greet Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Aledo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
