Marshall had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Richland County Tigers by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19.
Lilly Ross paced Marshall's offense, picking up six kills. Ross got some help from Harper Richardson and her nine assists. Richardson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Marshall's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Richland County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.
Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Paris on the 2nd. As for Richland County, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mt. Carmel on the 2nd.
