Baseball Recap: West Bladen Victorious

West Bladen gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Swansboro Pirates 4-2.

Ashton Davis was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Garrett Dunham, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

West Bladen's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Swansboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Bladen will host South Columbus at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Swansboro, they will welcome Hoggard at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
