Basketball Recap: Winterset Comes Up Short

Winterset suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They took a blow against the North Polk Comets, falling 66-34. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Comets: they've now lost six in a row.

Winterset's record is now 7-10. As for North Polk, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

When Winterset and North Polk next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Winterset will challenge Carroll and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Polk will try to stop Ankeny Centennial's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
