Baseball Recap: Joplin Takes a Loss

Joplin's last matchup with Logan-Rogersville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Eagles lost 8-2 to the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Joplin's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Logan-Rogersville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Joplin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 defeat against Ozark on the 15th. As for Logan-Rogersville, they will venture away from home to take on West Plains at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
