Volleyball Recap: Arroyo Grande Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Arroyo Grande can now relate to. They fell just short of the Santa Ynez Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Arroyo Grande took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 21-25, 24-26, 25-20, 15-13.

Arroyo Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 24-17. As for Santa Ynez, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Arroyo Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Ynez, they will head out to challenge Central East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
