Football Recap: Cooper Extends Winning Streak to Two

Concordia Lutheran came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Cooper, but Eric Sipko wouldn't allow it. The Dragons enjoyed a cozy 53-34 victory over the Crusaders on Friday with plenty of help from Sipko, who picked up 184 receiving yards and four TDs. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards.

Cooper has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 54.0 points this season. As for Concordia Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Cooper wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 48-21 victory against Lutheran South Academy on the 12th. As for Concordia Lutheran, they have also already played their next game, a 48-0 win against Kelly Catholic on the 12th.
