Volleyball Preview: Grand Valley Cardinals vs. Aspen Skiers        
        
		
             The Grand Valley Cardinals will head out to  square off against the Aspen Skiers  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Grand Valley is coming into the  game on  a  four-game losing streak.
 Last Tuesday, Grand Valley came up short against De Beque  and fell  3-1.
 Grand Valley took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. After all that action, the final score was 14-25, 25-20, 25-12,  25-15.
 Grand Valley's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Rylyn Jacobs, who  had 20  digs and two  aces, and  Melanie De La Rosa, who  had 14  digs and 14  assists. De La Rosa is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had five or more in the last six games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Neyli Rojas, who  had six  digs.
 Meanwhile, Aspen entered their  contest against Glenwood Springs  on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Aspen fell  3-1 to Glenwood Springs.
 The final score came out to 25-19, 26-28, 25-22,  25-22.
 Grand Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Aspen, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record  this season.
 Grand Valley suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Aspen  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2021. Can Grand Valley avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
