Basketball Recap: Carver's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Carver can now relate to. They came up short against the South Stokes Sauras on Friday, falling 94-69. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (68), the Yellowjackets still had to take the loss.

Carver lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tiquan March, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 26 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Glaspie, who dropped a triple-double with 15 points, 13 boards, and ten assists.

Carver's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points over those games. As for South Stokes, the win was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-2.

Carver does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Stokes, they will take on Eastern Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Randolph knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 contests -- so hopefully South Stokes likes a good challenge.
