Football Game Preview: Uintah Utes vs. Provo Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Uintah Utes will venture away from home to challenge the Provo Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Uintah has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while Provo will come in with three straight wins.

On Friday, Uintah came up short against Salem Hills and fell 41-28.

Despite the loss, Uintah saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lukas Turner picked up four sacks and made eight total tackles. Romeo Garcia also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.

Even if they lost, Uintah's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Turner with four. Those four sacks set a new season-high mark for him.

Meanwhile, Provo sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 victory over Park City on Friday.

Uintah better keep an eye on Malik Filimoe'Atu. He was instrumental in Provo's win, rushing for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

Provo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brexton Hunter and Filimoe'Atu.

The win got Provo back to even at 4-4. As for Uintah, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Uintah was taken down by Provo 63-27 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Utes were down 49-21.
