Providence Grove kept a clean sheet against Southern Guilford on Friday. They put the hurt on the Storm with a sharp 6-0 win. Considering Providence Grove have won eight contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Southern Guilford from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Taryn Waugh led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The victory was the third in a row for Providence Grove, bringing their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three matches. As for Southern Guilford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-1 record this season.

Providence Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Wheatmore at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southern Guilford, they will take on Eastern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Guilford will be up against Eastern Guilford's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
