Sherman Oaks CES barely beat Northridge Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights put the hurt on the Pumas with a sharp  18-3 win on Thursday. The  victory was just business as usual for the Knights, who after 13 games remain undefeated  this season.
 Araceli Altamirano was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 4-for-6 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double. That  triple marked the first that  she has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Kaitlyn Flamenco and  Sophia Pirayesh did most of the damage at the plate:  Flamenco  went 4-for-5 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double, while  Pirayesh  went 3-for-5 with three  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Those  four  hits gave  Flamenco a new career-high.  Reagan Rosenthal was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Sherman Oaks CES was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .436 or higher in ten consecutive  matches.
Sherman Oaks CES pushed their record up to 13-0 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 17.6 runs thus far. As for Northridge Academy, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 13-4.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sherman Oaks CES will  challenge  rival Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences  at 2:30  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Northridge Academy is set to  take on  their familiar foe East Valley  at 2:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
