Soccer Game Preview: Arvin vs. North

The Arvin Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the North Stars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Arvin's offense. They came up short against Mira Monte on Wednesday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 827th, while the Lions are ranked 170th).

Meanwhile, North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to West. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Stars struggled afterwards.

Arvin's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10-3. As for North, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Arvin beat North 3-1 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arvin since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
