Softball Recap: Oxnard Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oxnard can now relate to. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Clemente Tritons on Thursday. Considering the last time the Yellowjackets couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Oxnard has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-10-1 record this season. As for San Clemente, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-7-1.

Oxnard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Clemente, they will square off against Marina at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Tritons will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
