Softball Recap: Horizon Scorpions vs. Bel Air Highlanders
Horizon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bel Air Highlanders. Even if the Scorpions couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Hannah Flores made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Horizon's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Bel Air, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-20.
Coincidentally, Horizon and Bel Air will both be playing Parkland the next time they take the field. The Highlanders will head out to face the Matadors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Scorpions will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
