Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Canton's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Canton won the last time they faced Brownsboro and things went their way on Friday too. The Canton Eagles came out on top against the Brownsboro Bears by a score of 39-27. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Bears are ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Canton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Brownsboro, they moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Mabank the next time they take the court. Brownsboro will head out to face Mabank at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Canton will host them at 6:15 p.m. on December 20th.
