Latino College Preparatory Academy has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Design Tech has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Golden Eagles will host the Dragons at 3:00 p.m. Latino College Preparatory Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Design Tech likes a good challenge.
Latino College Preparatory Academy's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Luis Valdez Leadership Academy with a sharp 17-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won nine in a row.

YADIRA ADAME was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, ANDREA SANCHEZ was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of YARED BANUELOS, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Design Tech unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against University, falling 19-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Dragons have suffered since March 15th.
Angelica Soto made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Desiree Torres, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Design Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Latino College Preparatory Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Latino College Preparatory Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .609. However, it's not like Design Tech struggles in that department as they've averaged .556. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Latino College Preparatory Academy suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Design Tech when the teams last played back in March. Will the Golden Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
