Football Game Preview: Talladega Tigers vs. Handley Tigers + Official Tickets

Talladega is 0-5 against Handley since October of 2018 but things could change on Friday. Talladega will take on Handley at 7:00 p.m.

Talladega is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Bullock County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Tigers took a blow against the Hornets, falling 35-7. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Hornets are ranked 132nd).

Talladega's loss came about despite a quality game from Alex Taylor, who picked up 128 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Handley waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They breezed past Tallassee to the tune of 45-14. Considering Handley has won six games by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Talladega's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Handley, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Talladega was dealt a bruising 48-21 loss at the hands of Handley in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Talladega was down 35-7.
