Basketball Game Preview: Everton Tigers vs. Billings Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers duke it out with the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Everton has now lost 15 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Everton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 74-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bradleyville on Friday.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Joshua Daniels, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Zayn Powers was another key player, going 8 for 16 to rack up 23 points.

Meanwhile, Billings lost to Crane on the road by a 67-52 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Pirates are ranked 125th).

Billings has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for Everton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-21.

Everton took a serious blow against Billings when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 78-33. Can Everton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
