Basketball Recap: Yellow Medicine East Takes a Loss

Yellow Medicine East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They lost 81-57 to the Renville County West Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Sting can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 405th, while the Jaguars are ranked 195th).

Yellow Medicine East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Renville County West, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yellow Medicine East will challenge Tracy-Milroy-Balaton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tracy-Milroy-Balaton will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Yellow Medicine East surely won't give up without a fight. As for Renville County West, they will face off against Minneota at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Renville County West knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Minneota likes a good challenge.
